1. Hereditary (Family History)

Hereditary hair loss in men is referred to as male pattern hair loss and in women as female pattern hair loss. If you have hereditary hair loss then the hair loss process will start usually during teenage. Hereditary hair loss is seen in both men and women.

2. Alopecia Areata

Alopecia Areata has affected roughly around 6.8 million people in the US. It is an autoimmune disorder that leads to unpredictable hair loss on the scalp and in extreme cases also the entire body. Also include iron-rich foods like dark green vegetable, lentils, red meat, peas, dry fruits and cereals. Other nutrients that encourage hair growth are biotin, vitamin D, vitamin E, Vitamin C and omega 3 fatty acids. Avoid excessive alcohol, starch, refined grains, sugar and swordfish if you are facing hair loss.

7. Telogen Effluvium

Telogen Effluvium is a form of hair loss that is temporary. It happens due to the resting or telogen hair after experiencing a shock or trauma. It usually starts occurring on the top of the scalp. If you’re facing Telogen Effluvium have a good diet, avoid the heat and avoid stress.

8. Heat Damage And Color Treatments

We do different treatments for our hair to look good but we ultimately forget that in the long run that it can damage our hair. Heat damage can lead to dry hair, split ends, hair breakage and hair loss. To protect your hair from heat, use a heat protectant spray and use the least heat setting on your blow drier, straightener or curler. Hair colours have chemicals that make the hair dry and brittle.

Hair loss from dandruff is very common and experienced by people of all ages. Dandruff causes flaky scalp which leads to constant itchiness and scratching. Certain medicines can cause side effects like hair fall. A high dose of Vitamin A can lead to hair loss. Other drugs or medicines that cause hair loss are Birth control pills, drugs related to cancer, Anticlotting drugs, Antidepressants, Cholesterol-lowering drugs, steroids, certain weight loss drugs and thyroid medications.
