A cramp also called ‘Charley Horse’, is a feeling of sudden pain. However, it happens mostly in the legs, following any activity, or even during sleep.

Causes Of Cramps
Cramps occur when there is a reduction in blood supply to the muscle (Transient: Ischemia / Prolonged: Infarction).
The nutrient and oxygen supply required by the muscle is not sufficient, whenever there is a reduction in blood supply. Also, there is a failure in the relaxation of muscles, resulting in pain and cramp.
