Amazing Theories Prove That Parallel Universes Exist
Parallel Universe is the concept of hidden and undetectable reality. Let us begin this with an instance. Following the laws of probability, for every decision, there may be different outcomes. And if there are ranges of universes then each universe would depict a different outcome. Suppose in one universe, you are doing your job in Mumbai and then in another universe perhaps you have just reached the office, or you are on your way, and so on. Strange, isn’t it?
Many physicists and theorists have described the concept of the parallel universe in their own ways.
This idea of the multiverse or parallel universe is used in various fantasies and movies. Some of them are Chronicles of Narnia, a Tv series Sliders, World of Tiers, Glory World, etc. These series and movies captured the idea of a parallel universe in one or the other way.
The pioneering idea of a parallel universe was first introduced in comic books with the publication of The Flash #123, “Flash of Two Worlds”
Starting from the beginning, around 13.7 billion years ago, everything in the cosmos was infinitesimally small and singular. The Big Bang happens and that triggered it to expand. It inflates in the three-dimensional space. The big bang held a great energy in itself. When this expansion cooled, small particles began to form large pieces. These large pieces are today’s galaxies, planets, and stars.
One big question in front of us is that are we the only universe out there or if there is some extra dimension out there. Do parallel universes really exist? According to String theory, the bulk of space contains a total 11 dimensions. If this theory is correct, then there would be every possibility of what we call a Multiverse. With our current technology, it is not possible for us to observe the whole universe because the universe is curved and we are inside this like a fishbowl, unable to see the outside of it.
It is important to note that the parallel universes are not actually a theory of physics, but rather a conclusion that comes out of various theories within physics.
One argument which many theorists mentioned in support of parallel universe is the God hypothesis –
The creator of the universe must have existed outside of our universe in some or the other fashion. Since we believe he exists outside, then there must be something outside, or we can say there has to be at least one universe outside our universe.
Time flows very differently in these universes. So, suppose a character who is returning from one universe to another might find that time has passed differently. This concept was borrowed in the movie Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis. Hence, there is no need for time to match up between the worlds.
This is a very strange phenomenon. The shape of is universe is thought to be flat and hence it goes on expanding forever. This tells us each and every possibility of parallel and multiple universes being out there.
“A mathematical structure is something that you can describe in a way that’s completely independent of human baggage,” said theory-proposer Max Tegmark of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as quoted in the 2012 article. “I really believe that there is this universe out there that can exist independently of me that would continue to exist even if there were no humans.”
