It is the world of instant cooking! Isn’t it? Then why should baking cakes take a lot of time? Buying a cake or a pastry from your favourite cake shop is something which is quite easy. But, the pleasure of baking it at home and having it is all together is a totally different feeling.

You know about the type of ingredients you usually use in the cake, unlike the ones you get from the cake shop. You know how to take care of your health, and you know what to use and how much to use- because though you would not be a professional baker, you are the baker your family loves. So to keep receiving all those hugs and kisses bake again that too in 5 minutes! I know baking 5-minute cakes sounds strange but yeah it’s true. Trust me and dive in!

1. All-time fudgy twist!

Children love chocolate and when its so full of nuts then who is going to refuse it. Bake a 5 minute cake full of chocolate and I am sure they will soon be asking for more.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. of unsalted butter
  • ½ cup of buttermilk
  • 1 egg (optional)/ 1 tbsp. of flax seed oil+3 tbsp. of water
  • Two &1/2 tbsp. of cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp. of palm sugar/stevia
  • ½ cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp. of brown sugar
  • ½ tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp. of self-rising flour

Method:

  • In a small bowl, melt butter in pan/microwave.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips until they melt.
  • Microwave the mixture for about 15 seconds, if required.
  • Add egg (Optional), buttermilk, palm sugar/stevia, vanilla extract, brown sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Keep whisking the entire mixture until it becomes smooth.
  • Add the self-rising flour and stir until it gets completely combined with the mixture.
  • Once the mixture is ready, pour it into a big mug. Do not fill the mug completely, just add it halfway.
  • Microwave the mug for about 60-90 seconds.
  • Your mug cake is ready to eat! Have fun with one of the best 5 minute cakes!

2. Rejoice Vanilla

Ingredients: –

  • 5 tbsp. of self-rising flour
  • 1/4th tsp of baking powder
  • 3 tbsp. of palm sugar/stevia
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 egg (optional)/ 1 tbsp. of flax seed oil+3 tbsp. of water
  • Two tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp. of butter (melted)

Method: –

  • Whisk all the dry ingredients in a big mug.
  • In a measuring cup, whisk together wet ingredients then pour into the mug and stir the batter until this mixture becomes really smooth.
  • Microwave for 50-70 seconds.
  • Remove your mug, let it cool and rejoice your vanilla cake!

3. A baked coffee choice

Ingredients: –

  • 1/8th tsp of baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • One tsp. of coffee
  • 1/8th tsp of cinnamon powder
  • 1/4th cup of flour
  • 2 tbsp. of applesauce
  • 2&1/2 tbsp. of palm sugar/stevia
  • 1&1/2 tbsp. of butter (softened)
  • 1/8th vanilla extract

Topping Ingredients:-

  • 1 tbsp. of butter, make sure it is softened
  • 2 tbsp. of flour
  • 1 tbsp. of brown sugar
  • 1/4th tsp of cinnamon powder

Method: –

  • In a big 150 ml mug, combine butter and palm sugar/stevia.
  • Add applesauce, flour, baking powder, coffee powder, cinnamon powder, vanilla extract and a pinch of a salt. Stir well till it gets combined.
  • For the topping, you can combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon in another small bowl. Cut in softened butter and sprinkle over the cake batter!
  • Microwave for 45-60 seconds.
  • Caution:- Do not overcook the cake.
