• In a small saucepan, combine 1 ¼ cups of sugar and 8 cups of water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Boiling kills the harmful bacteria from water and also aids in dissolving sugar. Let this mixture cool to room temperature.
• Mix ginger and mint leaves with little water and grind to form a fine pulp. Add 1 ¼ cups of lemon juice and the sugar solution prepared before to this mixture. Stir well.
