- Add one bowl of coconut oil to a nonstick pan and heat it.
- Next, add one bowl of thinly sliced onion, and one bowl of curry leaves, and stir it for a few seconds.
- Let this cook on a low flame and keep stirring it occasionally.
- Once the onion becomes golden brown, take it off the gas.
- Strain the residual oil in a big bowl. Kindly ensure that you drain off all the oil from the onion by pressing it down with a spoon.
2. Hibiscus And Coconut Oil
If your hair lacks volume, then hibiscus oil is helpful for this purpose. Hibiscus oil also conditions your hair. You can use hibiscus oil if you want to avoid purchasing commercial conditioners that have many chemicals in them. The mucilage present in the hibiscus flower acts as a conditioner. Hibiscus oil also retains the moisture in your hair. Hibiscus works on the scalp by improving blood circulation by offering amino acids and vitamin C.
Here’s the recipe of the hibiscus oil:
- Add one bowl of coconut oil to a nonstick pan and heat it.
- Next, add 12 to 15hibiscus flowers (Gun dhal), and stir it for a few seconds.
- Let this cook on a low flame and keep mixing it occasionally.
- Turn off the gas when the leaves have turned black. The oil leaves a golden yellowish color.
- Transfer this oil to a bowl.
- Take a jar and place a funnel in it.
- Pour the oil into the cup.
3. Camphor And Coconut Oil
Camphor oil works best for an itchy scalp. It also helps you get rid of dandruff and lice. The anti-fungal properties in camphor maintain the pH of the scalp. It also relaxes the scalp if it is too inflamed. If you suffer from a receding hairline, then camphor can help you solve this problem. Camphor also improves the quality and consistency of your hair. It strengthens the roots of your hair which ensures healthy growth of hair.

- Take a handful of camphor balls and crush them till it form a powder.
- In a pan, take 3/4th cup of water. Place a bowl in this water and turn on the flame.
- Now add four teaspoons of coconut oil.
- When the oil melts, add the crushed camphor powder. Stir this mixture thoroughly.
- Take the oil off the flame and let it cool down.
4. Aloe Vera And Coconut Oil
Aloe Vera oil is helpful for oily hair. Aloe Vera promotes hair growth with vitamins A, C & E. The vitamin B12 and folic acid present in Aloe Vera prevent hair fall. Aloe Vera also softens your hair.
The recipe to prepare the Aloe Vera oil is as follows:
- Take an Aloe Vera leaf and chop it.
- Add one cup of water to the nonstick pan.
- Place a bowl in the centre of the pan.
- Add two tablespoons of coconut oil to the bowl. Then add the chopped Aloe Vera and stir it for a few seconds.
- Let this oil cook on a low flame.
- Let the oil cook till the brownish colour of your oil is visible. The Aloe Vera will begin to leave its gel during this process.
- Strain the residual oil in a big bowl. Kindly ensure that you drain off all the oil from the Aloe Vera. You can do so by pressing it down with a spoon.
5. Kalonji Oil
Kalonji oil is beneficial for aging hair. It ensures that the hair does not become grey prematurely. Kalonji oil also restricts hair fall significantly. The antihistamine properties present in the Kalonji oil enable hair growth.

- In a small grinder, add one small bowl of Kalonji, and one small bowl of fenugreek seeds, and grind it till it forms a powder.
- Add one bowl of coconut oil to a nonstick pan and heat it.
- Next, add the Kalonji and fenugreek powder to the coconut oil and stir occasionally.
- Let this oil cook on a low flame.
- Turn off the gas when the oil has simmered, and the powder is absorbed in the oil.
- Place a tourniquet towel in a bowl and pour the oil into this towel.
- Strain this oil into a bowl and let it cool.
