Apart From India, These Countries Also Have Three Wheeler Vehicle Auto Rickshaw

The idea of building a light three-wheeled commercial vehicle to power Italy’s post-war economic reconstruction first came in the mind of Corradino D ‘Ascanio as ‘Piaggio Ape’  in 1947.

In south-Asia auto rickshaw was first introduced in 1957. Most of the places they are called as ‘Tuk Tuks”.

There are in total 33 places excluding India  where you can find auto rickshaws:

Thailand

El Salvador

Peru

Pakistan

Ethiopia

China

Sri Lanka

 Bangladesh

Cambodia

Indonesia

Laos

Philippines

Vietnam

Cuba

Ecuador
