Udaipur is popularly known as the City Of Lakes but very few people are aware of the fact that Udaipur is also famously called the ‘Venice of the East’.
Situated across a group of 118 small islands and linked by over 400 bridges, Venice is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Well, not sure when we would get the chance to experience this beautiful city of bridges but, lucky for us, we have Udaipur.
Under the Sun
Under the Sun is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Udaipur and also India’s fish aquarium. Photography is permitted inside the aquarium. You can also witness India’s first aqua live virtual reality experience and can also feed as well as touch the fishes in the Touch pool area of the aquarium. You can also witness The OMG Tank where you can get inside and experience life underwater, without getting wet.
It was built in the memory of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. It is situated in the middle of the lake. The boat-shaped food court one of the major attraction for tourists in this garden. There is no entry fee for the garden but you’ve to pay for the boat ride.
Dudh Talai Musical Garden
Maintained by the Udaipur Urban Development Trust, it has Rajasthan’s first musical fountain. To experience the magic of music you must visit here. It is the perfect example of modern architecture and the entry free is 10₹ per person.
Ropeway is a very popular ride at Udaipur which serves as a boon to people who tent to visit the temple. The ride is from the top of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park to the Karni Mata Temple. It is very affordable so everyone can easily enjoy it.
Neemach Mata Temple
Known as the Vaishno Devi of Udaipur, this temple is located on the top of a hill and gives you a panoramic view of the entire city. It can be reached only on foot. This place will definitely give you peace with amazing city view.
The Vintage Car Museum
This museum is owned by Mr. Arvind Singh Mewar. Having some of the rarest and classic car collection, this museum exhibits several vintage cars and they all are in working condition. The entry fee is 250 per person.
